MARLBOROUGH – There’s nowhere in New England like a fun destination like Apex Entertainment. With 4 stories of fun and sporting activities, Apex Entertainment has something for everyone.
“We’re 100,000 square feet of pure fun,” said Rob Luzzi, Director of Field Marketing. “We offer bowling, sports simulators, indoor go-karts, an arcade, a full restaurant menu and an 18-hole glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course. The best part is that customers can choose which activities they want. It’s a la carte, so you only pay for what you want to do. There is no admission fee.”
The fun also shows in the food served by Apex Entertainment.
Luzzi said: “All of our dishes are fun and shareable. We serve New England’s largest pretzel and have a two foot hot dog called The Big Dog. We have expanded our food service to offer items not offered anywhere else.”
It’s no surprise that families are frequent visitors to Apex Entertainment. For children under 10, Apex has a playground in Apex Kids with an indoor jungle gym and bouncy castles. The playground is often reserved for birthday parties.
“Each party is assigned an Apex Party host so the parents can relax,” Luzzi said. “They choose the activities they want to incorporate into the party and the kids have a blast.”
Apex Entertainment has made a name for itself as a venue for concerts, sports performances and other major events. His dueling piano show is a big draw for crowds, as are the athlete performances, which have included former Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara, former Celtics player Tacko Fall, and former Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower.
Apex Entertainment’s 4000 square foot of event space is available for holiday parties, seminars and business meetings.
“Companies love us for team building events. A company usually has a meeting in the morning and team building after lunch,” said Luzzi. “Bowling, go-karts and the indoor full swing golf simulators are very popular with our business-oriented customers.”
Apex sports simulators offer 14 sports experiences including golf, soccer, lacrosse, football, rugby, baseball, basketball and dodgeball.
The Marlborough location is one of Apex Entertainment’s four locations. There are three others in Syracuse and Albany, New York, and its newest location in Virginia Beach.
Apex hosts school events throughout the year and is widely visible through its support of local charities and non-profit organizations.
“We’re hosting the Apex 5K race in September, which supports the New England Center for Children and the Hole in the Wall Gang in Connecticut,” said Luzzi. “This year’s 5K was followed by our Indoor Beer Summit benefiting Clear Path for Veterans. We also work with Crossroads Continuum in Hudson. We’re a down-to-earth destination with a committed mission to support our community.”
Luzzi recalls how Apex had to switch gears in 2020 during the pandemic.
“The local community has kept us going during COVID and we are grateful to give back.”
Apex Entertainment is part of the RAVentures Hospitality Group, which also owns the brands Evviva Trattoria, 110 Grill, Kelly’s Roast Beef-Florida and Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-BQ.
For 2023, Luzzi and the Apex team plan to continue expanding the Marlborough location and remain active in the community.
“People come to Apex from all over New England,” Luzzi said. “People hear about us and see us as a target. We want to be the go-to place for fun, and we want everyone to come here and have a great experience.”
