The Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center (NE-DBIC), operated by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets, is currently accepting applications for the second round of the Dairy Safety and Certification grant.

This funding opportunity provides support to dairy farmers, processors and/or producer organizations in every Northeastern state to improve dairy product safety. Awards range from $10,000 to $40,000 with a required 25% match commitment.

Projects should build on existing state and federal compliance requirements to improve consistency, production safety standards, and quality of dairy products. Priority will be given to projects that use food safety improvements to increase the marketability of dairy products or reach new markets.
