SiteSUPER, a patented hardware and software technology, uses blockchain solutions to make the construction industry safer
CHARLESTON, SC, November 2, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Black Ink Technologies Corp., an integrated hardware and software company that provides immutable, end-to-end Zero Trust solutions for products and services, announced that it has been granted five separate technology patents has, which enable the construction industry safer.
Traditionally, construction has been seen as uncertain and slow in digital transformation. By adopting and applying blockchain technology, Black Ink Tech has developed hardware and software systems that streamline the management of projects from start to finish for additional project facilitation and security.
The granted patents allow SiteSUPER, a technology operating on the Black Ink Tech platform, to work together to speed up everyday construction processes, reduce fraud and increase maximum project efficiency.
SiteSUPER’s software takes data from everything that goes in and out of a project and construction site and stores the data on the blockchain. This allows SiteSUPER not-interchangeable Tokens (NFTs) with real-world assets, creating an immutable record that can confirm compliance before a product is installed, providing transparency and ensuring building codes are met.
In addition, these immutable tokens also capture weather conditions during product installation, verifications of who performed the installation, a record of the unique identifier for the products installed, and the time of installation to ensure compliance and warranty compliance. And a confirmed biometric identification along with the license link, creating an indisputable record of who worked, where they worked, when they worked and what they worked on.
While licenses, products used, and insurance are common targets for fraud or misrepresentation, these immutable records ensure that the correct materials were installed by the correct licensed contractor and a guarantee can be issued for the correct product, and that those claiming it having worked on a project actually did this.
Below is the list of issued patents that allow SiteSUPER and Black Ink Tech to create an immutable record of events at a construction site:
- Use of blockchain-based distributed ledgers and smart contracts for a construction project
- Using blockchain-based distributed ledgers to reference construction metadata and leverage smart contracts for a construction project
- Code compliance management and verification system
- System for managing warranty information for projects and materials
- Digital asset systems for managing projects and materials
“If you’ve spent time on a construction site, you know the work can be delayed, unsafe and logistically challenging. Often this is because the construction industry has been slow to embrace new technologies that could help improve the many systems and processes required to bring a project to life,” said Jeremy Blackburn, Managing Director of Black Ink Tech. “But these patents are symbolic of the possibilities of blockchain and how it can be used to improve an industry poised to embrace its own digital transformation.”
