Business development in financial services

Optcapital is a 25 year old financial services company based in Charlotte, NC. In the last 2 years our customer base has doubled and we expect this growth rate to continue. We acquire new clients through word of mouth from existing clients, financial advisors and advisors in the United States.

Overview:
We are looking for a Business Development Associate.

The main tasks include:
• Proactively communicated with top customers (approximately 50) via phone and email to answer questions, maintain relationship, seek referrals and drive additional business activity
• Proactively communicated with top referral sources (approx. 100) to update them on ongoing business activities and to seek additional business opportunities
• Worked with the business development team to respond to customer and prospect inquiries
• Representing the company on audio and video calls with prospects

Note:
Our business hours are 8:30 – 5:30. Occasionally work needs to be done outside of these hours, but this is not a regular requirement. We are currently working in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to encourage and facilitate knowledge sharing between team members.

We are looking for someone with five or more years of experience in the financial services industry. Series 7 licensing is required. However, if you do not currently have a Series 7 license, we will allocate time and resources to prepare and expect the license to be purchased within four months of the discontinuation date

Optcapital is a small company with 11 employees. Hiring an employee is a sensible and important decision for our company. We value our culture and reputation and are looking for someone who will promote both.

Compensation consists of salary and bonus, heavily weighted towards salary. Total compensation target is $150,000 to $200,000 depending on experience and background.
