The Berks Regional Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is hosting a “National Philanthropy Day Breakfast, Awards and Conversation with Edgar Villanueva” from 7:30am at the DoubleTree Hotel in Reading. The annual breakfast honors individuals, organizations and businesses for their philanthropic contributions to Berks County. Immediately following the awards breakfast, AFP Berks will host a 9:45-10:45 call with Villanueva, Founder and Director of the Decolonizing Wealth Project and Liberated Capital. Villanueva is an author, activist, and expert on race, wealth, and philanthropy. His bestseller, Decolonizing Wealth, has been called a “wake-up call” for philanthropy. Berk’s LaunchBox presents “3D Printing for Beginners” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. by appointment. Discuss the software and equipment used to 3D print a product, learn the terms and tips used in 3D printing. You create a tool in TinkerCAD that you can personalize, then send it to the print shop to create your first prototype. Another meeting will take place on Thursday 1st December from 6pm to 8pm.
