Cabify partners with Incode Technologies to improve driver security with selfie identity verification technology

SAN FRANCISCO, November 3, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Cabify, the international multi-mobility platform, has partnered with Incode Technologies, the next-generation identity verification and authentication platform for global enterprises, to integrate new developments into its passenger identity verification system. As part of this strategic partnership announced today, Incode’s biometrics and digital identity technology will be integrated into Cabify, allowing passengers to validate their identity through a selfie that instantly confirms the match between the photo and official documentation.

The well-being of Cabify’s driver partners and prevention of safety incidents are priorities for Cabify. This new alliance deepens the company’s commitment, which relies on technologies based on artificial intelligence and machine learning processes to detect suspicious user behavior and prevent incidents that affect driver safety. Both Incode and Cabify have applied the most innovative solutions on the market to this project, offering users a native and intuitive experience without leaving the Cabify app at any time.

This new solution reinforces the set of deployed safety features that, according to the drivers and taxi drivers collaborating, have made Cabify a benchmark app for safe travel. In a recent Cabify survey of drivers who tested it, passenger identity verification is the safety tool most valued by Cabify’s partner drivers, followed by others like Secret Signal, a feature that enables real-time safety check logs to prevent any wrongdoing by passengers. In fact, more than 91% of drivers participating in this analysis dropped this identity check with a 10 or 9.
