Celebrities speak out after tragedy at Colorado LGBTQ club

On November 19, there was a shooting at Club Q, an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At least five people died and another 18 were injured. Although a definitive motive has not been confirmed, the hateful rhetoric targeting the LGBTQ+ community is currently very intense and likely has to do with the shooter’s actions.

As reported by NBC NewsVice President of the State of Colorado Adrian Vasquez said at a news conference on November 20: “While the suspect was at the club, at least two heroic people at the club confronted and fought with the suspect and were able to stop the suspect from continuing to kill and injure others. We owe them a great debt of gratitude.”
