Following are the results from Week 4 of the Northwest Arena Fall Backyard Curling Leagues sponsored by Dot’s Gift Boutique.
5:45 JEREMY’S BELVIEW MONDAY LEAGUE
Scuba Crew clinched a (37-35) win over Team Celsius. Jack Twinam relegated his team to first place. Team Celsius caused a stir against Legion of Broom (39-36). Fred Pellerito helped get the job done with his persistent play. Kevin Anderson accumulated 10+ points in each of his ends to secure a (52-39) takedown for TRCurlers against Team Fahrenheit.
6:45 AM JEREMY’S BELVIEW MONDAY LEAGUE
Jamie Smith and Sam Stewart did the job for Short & Curly to go 2-0 on the evening. They scored excellent wins against Glass House Gang (46-34) and Galbatos (41-27). Joe Dominic and Stone Cold Curlers grabbed a tremendous win when they defeated Snow Good at This (40-36) in a Classic. Snow Good at This had two close decisions. Luckily they won the first game. Dave and Leigh Anne Hendrick curled up well to escape the Pickle Pushers (43-40). Al Johnson drove his Kia Curlers to a (37-26) win over Rock Blockers. The Glass House Gang got the key game from Scott Beresford, who lit the scoreboard en route to a (40-23) win over Rock Blockers. Kathy Geary got the job done as Pickle Pushers went toe-to-toe with Kia Curlers (22-18). Galbatos survived a (26-23) barnburner with Honest Abe thanks to Karen Galbato.

Jon Peterson and Bob Drake brought the accuracy and offensive fireworks with wins over Gren’s Growlers (47-28) and Curl Jam (44-26). Hindy’s Hurlers secured two wins that night behind Mark Hinderleider and Tim Hurley. They controlled the game against Slone Melhuish (43-17) and dealt with Girls with Stones (39-28). Slone Melhuish avenged his first defeat with a thrilling win over Gren’s Growlers (42-41). Congratulations to Girls with Stones for taking first place in the win column against Curl Jam (42-30). Lorraine Diggs was the star that made this possible.

The Brush Offs remain untouched at 8-0 as Jennifer Swanson highlighted the action in her (36-20) win over the Rolling Stones. Nick Kahanic had the winning shot to keep them perfect by defeating 12 oz. Curlers (30-26). Glenn Wilcox boosted In the House up the rankings as it held off Got Stones (43-39) and obliterated Smokin’ Rocks (29-21). Perfect Stones claimed their first two wins of the year, led by Jim and George Panebianco. The first came against Jamestown Hammers (48-28) and they had precision when they faced We’ve Got the Stones (41-34). The 12 oz. The Curlers stay on top thanks to Kevin Gastol in a (51-35) shootout with We’ve Got the Stones. Molly Gustafson heralded a win for The Ice Men against The A&P’s (37-28). Travis Higgs had some key shots for Got Stones to help them bring down The Ice Men (39-28). Jeff Lewis threw the game-winning stone at OT to put the Rolling Stones past Cold as Ice (32-31). Dave Barber brought the heat for Smokin Rocks so they could melt Cold as Ice (29-26). The A&Ps got their first win of the year in season two against the Jamestown Hammers. Jody Perkins earned them a (22-21) triumph.

Dot’s Gift Boutique received first place from Dan Davis and Rex McCray. They swept Pace’s Special (41-14) and knocked off Stone Cold Sippers (39-33). Barney’s Hoof Trimming has planted several 50 bombs thanks to Jim DiFonzo and Darren Anderson. (50-24) vs Draw a Blank and 12 oz. Curlers were bullied (52-24). The Ice Holers pulled off an all-around team effort to defeat Stone Cold Sippers (28-22) and Curls Gone Wild (44-31). Ken Marks turned the season around for Pace’s Aces with victories over Ice & Easy (27-20) and Home Despots (40-30). Emily Lyon keeps Curl Power in second place after securing a (42-33) victory over 12 oz. curlers. Home Despots regrouped behind Casey Colburn in a (40-23) matchup with Curls Gone Wild. Jennifer Van Nauker made it big for Draw a Blank to defeat Ice & Easy (30-25). Pace’s Special grabbed a much-needed win over Curl Power (26-24) behind Kris Sellstrom.
4:30 RYAN DEPPAS/LEGEND GROUP FRIDAY LEAGUE
Tracey’s Dog won two close games (44-38) and (35-33) over DH } SW and Sweeping Beauties while Bob Paterniti had a high-scoring night. The Seminar Group slipped to two wins by defeating Premier Listings (36-27) and Lions & Bears (28-22) with Rex McCray and Eric Maloney leading the way. Always Late scored two wins behind Laura Snow’s strong play. Lions & Bears led Robinson Law Offices (40-28) as Bert and Mary Rappole were their leading curlers, and Bruce Moore led Cold Beer Here past DH } SW (37-32).
