Destination Sports Experiences celebrates its first year in business

Launched in October 2021, Destination Sports Experiences celebrates its one year anniversary with a quadruple growth of its team and the opening of offices in the US and Australia.

The UK-based events and sports travel business is led by Managing Director Brendan Fox, who has over 20 years’ experience in the active travel industry. The team, part of the Portman Travel Group, offers travel packages for those wishing to attend events around the world, as well as VIP and hospitality experiences.

The offer includes guaranteed event entry with covered logistics, including on-site support from team members and hotels in prime locations.

Brendan Fox said: “As I look back over the last 12 months, I feel an immense sense of pride and gratitude. Every single member of our Destination Sport Experiences team has contributed to our successes and enabled us to push the brand beyond expectations.”

He continued, “Our team’s decades of experience, knowledge and passion for the industry are unrivaled and have enabled us to become a market leader in just 12 months.”

Originally a team of six, the company’s workforce has now quadrupled, with the core team working from an office in Manchester and continuing to seek new like-minded team members. The team has also opened offices in the US and Australia, with cycling tour brand Sportive Breaks and world-leading running brand Marathon Tours & Travel joining the family.

With Marathon Tours & Travel, the expanded Destination Sport Experiences group continues to serve members of the Seven Continents Club… ‘For adventurous runners who want to complete a marathon on each of the seven continents worldwide.’

The addition of Sportive Breaks means Destination Sport Experiences customers have access to the Official Travel Provider for fans and amateur participants to the upcoming 2023 UCI World Cycling Championships in Glasgow and across Scotland.

The international events portfolio now sees clients traveling to places like Antarctica and the Great Wall of China. In the past few weeks alone, the team…’has brought thousands of customers to all parts of the world – including Australia, South Africa, North America, Europe and Patagonia.’

According to the company… “This continued growth places Destination Sport Experiences on track to reach tens of millions in sales by 2023.”

Brendan Fox continued, “So many exciting things are happening next year, with a host of new updates to our events portfolio.

“2023 offers a range of events and trips like no other, with packages available for the Spring Classics, the 2023 UCI World Cycling Championships and the Brighton Marathon Festival, among others. We’re excited to move forward with new events and to bring even more incredible experiences to our customers.”

Destination Sport Experiences is ABTA bonded with an ATOL license and offers protection through its COVID-19 Guarantee.
