Disneyland Adds Dolls in Wheelchairs to It’s a Small World

Disneyland has taken a new step toward diversity and inclusion with the addition of two new disabled animatronic characters to its It’s a Small World ride.

The costumed dolls were unveiled when the ride reopened as “It’s a Small World Holiday,” and join about 300 others during the ride, representing singing children from nations around the world.

Each year, Disney adds temporary decorations and holiday-themed carols to the ride, but the new dolls placed in the Latin American division and finale will remain in place when the seasonal decorations are dismantled in the new year.
