An overview of fun events in North Platte and Lincoln County:


Prairie Arts Center, (416 N Jeffers) – The Sheldon Statewide Exhibit, Again on the street, a collection from the Sheldon Museum of Art at NU, is in the main gallery. Plus, Out of the dark Art Exhibition, an exhibition of glow-in-the-dark works by local artists. Open Tuesday to Saturday. 11am-4pm Free.

Golden Ticket Cinemas, District 177 Mall (1000 S. Dewey) – See how they run, don’t worry, darling, smile, Lyle, Lyle Crocodile, Halloween Ends, Black Adam, Ticket to Paradise, The Thing and A quiet placee. Subject to change.

The Haunted Driveway (3020 W. 6th) – Open 5pm to 10pm on weekends. 17:00-24:00 with live hunters on weekends. Voluntary donations to the Gift of Hope Cancer Foundation.

Homestead Pumpkin Patch (6459 S. Homestead Rd) – Open Friday 2pm to 8pm, Saturday 10am to 7pm and Sunday 12pm to 7pm.

Dusty’s Pumpkin Fest at Cody’s (2921 Scouts Rest Ranch Rd) – Open Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm. $12.

Thursday 20 Oct

Lake Maloney Golf Club (608 Birdie Ln) – Green chili pork taco bar. $13 for adults. $7 for children. 5-7 p.m

Friday October 21st

North Platte Public Library (120 W. 4th) – Play is the way. An opportunity for parents to learn how to play with their children aged 2-6 years. 10-12 a.m.

North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd) – Haunted Corn Maze: Children of the Corn opens. $10. 19:30-24:00. Trunk or Treat: 6.30pm-8.30pm

North Platte Area Children’s Museum (314 N Jeffers) – Playdate of Terror Haunted House. For children aged 12 and over. $15 in advance. $20 at the door. 8pm-11pm Also open on Saturday.

Saturday October 22nd

District 177 (1000 S. Dewey) – Original Farmer’s Market, parking lot south of Ashley Furniture. 8am-1pm

Discount Vac & Sew (511 N. Dewey) – Lil Guardian’s Spooky Scavenger Hunt. $20 per family. Proceeds go to the Flatrock chapter of Lil Guardians. 1pm-4pm

St. Patrick High School (500p. Silver) – GREEN, the annual fundraiser for North Platte Catholic schools. Tickets at bipedal.net/green22. 17:00-24:00.

American Legion Post, Sutherland (160 So. Maple) – Annual Soup Dinner. 5-7:30pm Free for veterans and children under 5 years old. Suggested donation $7.

North Platte Senior Center (901 E. 10th) – Bingo. 6-10 p.m

Wild Bill’s Fun Center (1100 S Jeffers) – Veteran’s Buddy Check. Free Godfather’s Pizza and sodas for veterans and their families. 6-8 p.m

Fox Theater (5th & Bailey) – Overnight Fright Night with ghost tour and performances by The glow and its continuation doctor sleep. $15 for movies and tour. $10 for the tour. 11:30pm-6:30am

Tuesday October 25th

NebraskaLand National Bank Banquet Hall (1400 S. Dewey) – “Rec Yeah” City Hall Forum. Mayor Brandon Kelliher, City Recreation Supt. Bob Barr and Recreation Alliance member Megan McGown answer questions about the Rec Center Expansion Project. 17:30-18:30

Wednesday October 26th

North Platte Senior Center (901 E. 10th) – Dance along Dan Dobson and his friends. $8. 7pm-10pm

Thursday 27 Oct

Gothenburg Sod Museum (300 Lake Ave., Gothenburg) – The Halloween Witches Trail opens and lasts four nights. Thurs 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fri 7:30 a.m. to midnight. Sat – 7:30 a.m. – midnight. Sun. – 7.30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Also “Kid’s Scares” on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m

Friday October 28th

Our Lutheran Church of the Redeemer (1400 E.E) – Trunk or Treat. 16:30-18:30

Denny’s (3400 Newberry Rd.) – Second Annual Trunk or Treat. 5-7pm games and prizes. Kids eat free from 5pm to 8pm

Splatterbox Paintball (2024 N. Spur 56C, Hershey) – Haunted Woods Paintball Shoot. $10. 7pm-11pm

Saturday October 29th

Another Round (1008 W. 18th) – Halloween costume contest and karaoke with DJ Jac Jams. 9-1 For free.

Monday October 31 Halloween

Maria Lutheran Church Parking Lot, Hershey – Trunk or Treat. 5:00-6:30 p.m. Volunteered soup dinner. Hershey Band fundraiser.
