Global blockchain and Web3 technology will be the focus of Decipher’s 2022 edition, November 28-30 in Dubai

The 2022 edition of Decipher, an annual conference on blockchain and Web3 use cases hosted by Singapore-based blockchain platform Algorand Foundation, will take place on November 28-30, 2022 at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference and Events Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates instead.

The three-day conference is expected to feature over 120 speakers from leading companies across the tech ecosystem, including Bahamian cryptocurrency exchange FTX, US-based global investment firm SkyBridge Capital and UK-based zero-carbon tech Formula E company Envision Racing, US-based music streaming platform Napster, Cayman Islands-based cryptocurrency exchange Binance, China-based crypto-native venture firm Sino Global Capital, and music and entertainment NFT marketplace LimeWire, to name just a few.

Conference-goers at the event can sign up for one-on-one mentoring sessions with blockchain experts, learn all about setting up wallets, experience play-to-earn games, and explore a curated high-end NFT art gallery. In addition, they can participate in hands-on workshops designed for developers and led by engineers and product leaders. These experts are behind the Algorand protocol, a decentralized Byzantine agreement protocol based on pure proof-of-stake that can tolerate any number of malicious users, as those who follow the protocol’s instructions hold more than two-thirds of the total stake the system.

A total of 50 meetings are to be held over the three days. One of these sessions, titled Financial Inclusion at Scale: A World Tour, focuses on the diverse challenges and opportunities involved in realizing a blockchain-powered, inclusive financial future. Speakers at this session include Sanzar Kakar, Founder, HesabPay, Victor Mapunga, Co-Founder and CEO, FlexFinTx, Abhinav Sinha, Co-Founder, Eko India Financial Services, and Matt Keller, Head of Social Impact, Algorand Foundation.

Another session at the conference will relate to the work done in the Metaverse room following the launch of the Dubai Metaverse strategy by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council in July 2022. Under the Titled “Building the Next Crypto Capital,” business leaders in the Middle East will discuss how to create an environment for compliant crypto businesses to thrive. Speakers at this session include Basil Al Askari, CEO and Co-Founder of MidChains, Benjamin Ampen, CEO of MENA, Kraken, and Jehanzeb Awan, Chair of the Crypto and Blockchain Association for the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX, and Anthony Scaramucci, Founder and Managing Partner of SkyBridge Capital will also appear as speakers in another session titled “Efficiency, Speed ​​and USDC on Algorand.” In addition, a special Women’s Breakfast Club will be held on November 30, 2022 from 8:30am to 10:00am (UAE) that is free and open to all women in the Web3 technology community.
