Goalpost celebrations, field rushes, and the college football purge

When Kendre Miller crashed into the end zone last Saturday to help TCU earn an overtime win over Oklahoma State, thousands of cheering fans decided to join him. Dressed in cowboy boots and sundresses, sneakers and flip-flops, they jumped railings and fell approximately 7 feet onto the field of Amon G. Carter Stadium.

One fan almost immediately removed his t-shirt to reveal a Texas farmer’s perfect tan. Another punched him in the chest as he ran downstairs like he was the one who had just scored. Quarterback Max Duggan, who passed the ball to Miller, didn’t lose his stride when a fan wrapped his arm around him for an impromptu selfie. ESPN’s Skycam aligned around midfield as the team’s mascot was hoisted into the air by two cheerleaders in chorus to DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.”
