It’s been another BIG week for Disney news – and a lot of it is happening right at Disney World.

We were busy celebrating the holidays (and holiday dinner) but had to take a break due to Tropical Storm Nicole. So let’s see what big Disney news Stories came out this week.

Before Tropical Storm Nicole, Orlando International Airport was closed along with early closures for Disney World Parks and Disney Springs. Disney also adjusted its cancellation policy for guests planning to travel during this time.

However, Disney World reopened later the next day — that’s how things looked back then.

Tons of new food is coming to Disney World

Disney has just released their foodie guide to the holiday season and there are plenty of new treats to be found at Disney Parks, Disney Springs and the Resorts. EAT SO MUCH. Guests will be able to indulge in things like one Apple Cakea Holiday Shakea Happy Mickey Cupcake, and more!

Disney’s Q4 earnings call

The Walt Disney Company held its Q4 earnings call this week and reported that Disney+ subscribers have increased by nearly 50 million since last year. Disney also reported that its fourth-quarter revenue rose 9%, while full-year revenue rose 23%.


Disney reported total revenue of $21.3 billion for the quarter, down from the third quarter but still up from this time last year. However, during the call Disney’s shares dropped below $100 2022 for the second time.

Tarzan’s Treehouse Makeover at Disneyland

Tarzan’s Treehouse at Disneyland has just been renovated, but Disney recently gave a sneak peak at what the new attraction will look like. The tree house will again be based on the Swiss Family Robinson theme and will be named Adventureland Treehouse.


Disney says guests will find “intriguing spaces that the family have created for each other in this new story.”
