So close to being Green Goblins last week folks. Bo Nix’s 295.5 combined yards? BEAT it with 471 against Cal. Florida State QB Jordan Travis combined 275.5 against Georgia Tech? CRUSHED it with 389. But Tennessee got us, this time Kentucky QB Will Levis held SEVEN pass completions in their destruction of Kentucky and we only went 4 for 5.

The selection of the tenth week
Pick #1: Oregon QB Bo Nix OVER 310.5 combined passing and rushing yards
Bo Nix has never come through for us, so I’m glad I just jinxed this. The Auburn transfer continues their Heisman campaign with a matchup against Colorado, and their combined number sits at 310.5. Unless Oregon gets up very early and he gets picked up, I feel good when he gets here, either carrying the ball or dropping dimes on his wideouts.
Pick #2: Michigan State QB Payton Thorne UNDER 195.5 pass yards
We don’t like making Lindsay’s Locks, but mother nature conspired to give us this one. Not only does Thorne face an uphill battle against Fighting Illini’s fantastic defense (one that ranks in the top six for line yards, pass success and coverage and has the lowest allowable completion rate in the country), but there will also be Winds of over 20 mph awaits the forecast. Don’t forget to tip your local NOAA office when redeeming this.
Pick #3: Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson OVER 85.5 rushing yards
Let’s pick on Northwestern a little — their tackling is atrocious and they’re 110th in rushing yards allowed per game with an average of 186.4. Henderson shares time with Miyan Williams, who injured his hand last week and is questionable in this game. Another weather play as well, as sustained winds of 25mph are forecast at kick-off at Evanston. Sounds like the perfect storm to collect yardage on the ground.
Pick #4: USC RB Travis Dye OVER 18.5 yards
If that happens, thank you Bo Nix. Last week, Oregon’s top three running backs combined for 10 catches for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Cal is not a great pass coverage team (only outside of the bottom 25) and, like Northwestern, aren’t great tacklers. At the same time, Dye is already averaging 22 yards per game and has multiple catches in every game but one. Seems pretty obvious right?
Pick #5: Texas RB Bijan Robinson OVER 30.5 yards
We’re RB-heavy this week and I’m OK with that. Kansas State is great at defending receivers from the backfield, so let’s say Steve Sarkesian can capitalize on that with one of the best RBSs in college football.
Bet: Oregon QB Bo Nix OVER 310.5 passing and rushing yards combined, Michigan State QB Payton Thorne UNDER 195.5 passing yards, Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson OVER 85.5 rushing yards, USC RB Travis Dye OVER 18.5 receiving yards , Texas RB Bijan Robinson OVER 30.5 Receiving Yards
Flex Play: 5 correct out of 5 = 10x, 4 correct = 2x, 3 correct = 0.4x
The biggest concerns here are Oregon running the ball back to Colorado’s throat, or Bijan Robinson having a floored tag and not having to pass, but I like the board overall.
Have fun with the games.
