Soroptimist International

Noyo Sunrise’s Soroptimist International has guest speaker Printha Worthen, coordinator of the Community Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by Fort Bragg First Presbyterian Church. Big-hearted volunteers come together to prepare and wrap our 26th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner. This year they are offering a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. You can attend in person and via Zoom on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fort Bragg Senior Center Activity Room at 490 N Harold St. For the zoom link, email [email protected]

Fort Bragg Garden Club

All are invited to attend the next Fort Bragg Garden Club meeting on Monday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. Andrea Davis of Wild Rose Ecodesign will zoom in from Ukiah to share her knowledge of the best native plants for coastal gardens. The meeting will take place at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden Educational Center, also known as the Farm House. You can also join the meeting via Zoom by emailing the link to [email protected]

Second chance

On Friday, November 4th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, volunteers will be at the Fort Bragg Food Bank (910 N. Franklin St.) providing free flea/tick repellent for low-income people’s dogs. You don’t have to take your dog to the food bank so you can pick up the repellent quickly and travel safely. Information on free puppy injections AND spay/neuter will be available, as well as free glucosamine pills, leashes, collars etc. This is a Second Chance project, Helping the Pets of People in Need. Fort Bragg Food Bank

The Fort Bragg Food Bank is in need of brown paper bags and is looking for volunteers during our curbside distribution, Monday-Friday 11am-4pm and Wednesday 11am-5:30pm. www.fortbraggfoodbank.org. Brown paper bags can be taken to 910 N Franklin on the curb line or yard stand, or dropped off at one of the many blue keg bins at Purity, Harvest and Savings Bank of Mendocino in Fort Bragg.
