Armed suspects escaped Saturday afternoon after robbing a jewelry store in San Pablo.

A spokesman for the San Pablo Police Department said the robbery took place at a jewelry store in downtown San Pablo, located on San Pablo Dam Road just west of Interstate 80.

There are no further details. The police have no suspects.

Santa Rosa police arrested a man Friday in connection with carrying a concealed firearm following a traffic stop.

Daniel Reyes, 23, of Napa, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, possessing and not owning a firearm, evading arrest and possessing a jackknife, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department oppose.

A suspect in the shooting was arrested in Fremont Saturday afternoon after an incident in the city’s Niles district earlier in the day in which one person was shot dead.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound and is expected to survive, according to a Fremont Police spokesman.

The incident happened around 1:20 p.m. as officers were responding to the shooting on School Street near Bodily Avenue and adjacent to Niles Community Park. The police found the suspect a short time later.

Police said the victim was targeted. The suspect is in custody.

Santa Rosa police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting on Friday.

Vincent Cervantes, 28, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of being assaulted with a gun and being a felon in possession of ammunition, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

At 11:13 a.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Bay Village Circle with a report of a shooting.

Police said the suspect, later identified as Cervantes, approached two people on a creek path and shot the couple about three times.

The victims were not shot and the suspect fled the scene.

A 16-year-old boy who went missing in Petaluma has been found, police said Saturday afternoon.

James Erickson was reported missing Friday night but has since been found and the search for Erickson has been called off, police said.

The Berkeley Half Marathon takes place on Sunday morning.
