Prisco’s Week 11 NFL picks: Patriots sweep Jets; Vikings stay hot against Cowboys; Eagles fight to defeat Colts

For some weird reason I just can’t get my picks right, especially when it comes to my CBSSports.com Expert Picks. I’m under .500 and it’s getting worse week by week. I was 5-9 last week which brought my record down to 67-77-6.

This is the bad news.

The good news is that I won 5-1 on my best pick six podcast bets, bringing my season record to 34-23-2. I will take that.

My direct picks were 8-6 to push that record to 85-64-1, which isn’t bad. But it’s time to improve expert selection. I’m tempted to lose weeks.

Latest Odds:

Green Bay Packers -3

The Packers clinched a season-saving win over the Cowboys in overtime on Sunday and showed signs of life on offense. The Titans beat the Broncos despite a series of defensive injuries. That shows their toughness. This is a difficult turnaround, though, and I think the Packers are carrying over their momentum from beating the Cowboys.

Choose: Packers 24, Titans 19

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest Odds:

Atlanta Falcons -3

The Falcons will be a little more rested after last Thursday’s game and still alive in the division race. This game will feature two quarterbacks who love to run, with Chicago’s Justin Fields providing a real challenge to any defense. But I think the Falcons will find a way to slow him down here and get a setback win after losing to the Panthers.

Choose: Hawks 27, bears 23

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest Odds:

Baltimore Ravens-13

The Panthers will start Baker Mayfield as quarterback here with PJ Walker injured. The Ravens know him well from his time at Cleveland. The Ravens’ defense is also starting to round up, which is bad news for the Panthers. Watch for Baltimore to come out of the bye with a big win.

Choose: Ravens 30, Panthers 16

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Latest Odds:

Buffalo bills -8

The Browns are on the road for the second straight week after losing to Miami last week. The Bills suffered a terrible loss to the Vikings in a game that saw them lose a 17-point lead late on. They’re going to take that frustration out on the Browns defense, which was terrible. Look for Josh Allen to hit back with a big tag.

Choose: Bill’s 35, Brown’s 21

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest Odds:

Washington Commanders -3

The Commanders upset the Eagles Monday night and they’re taking to the streets again for a second straight week. This is tough, but the Texans have run defense issues that the Commanders will take advantage of like they did against the Eagles. Watch for Washington to come out with a win over .500.

Choose: Commanders 24, Texans 17

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Latest Odds:

Philly Eagles -7

The Eagles digest their first loss while the Colts pull off an impressive win in Jeff Saturday’s first game as interim coach. They looked better going back to Matt Ryan at quarterback. The Eagles have run defense issues that could show up if Jonathan Taylor has a big day. I think the Eagles will get back on track and win this game, but it’s close.

Choose: Eagle’s 27, Colt’s 24

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Latest Odds:

New England Patriots -3.5

This is a big game in terms of playoff opportunities. The Patriots beat the Jets on court three weeks ago in a defense-dominated game. This should be another defense-dominated game, and at home I’ll be handling the Patriots defense.

Choose: Patriots 20, Jets 16

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest Odds:

New Orleans Saints -3

The Rams are struggling and are now without Cooper Kupp after he picked up an ankle injury. That’s bad for an offense that has fought and may not have a Matthew Stafford (concussion). The Saints looked lifeless on offense when they lost to the Steelers last week. But at home I think that will change. Watch for a big game from Alvin Kamara if the Saints win it.

Choose: Saint 24, Aries 18

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest Odds:

New York Giants -3

This is the second straight game for the Lions, who won in Chicago last week. Offense continues to play well, but they still have problems on defense. Look here for a great Saquon Barkley play for the Giants as they battle for a playoff spot. giants take it.

Choose: Giants 26, lions 19

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest Odds:

Las Vegas Raiders +2.5

This is a game between two of the biggest disappointments in the league. The Broncos can’t score and the Raiders can’t stop anyone. Something must give. I think the Raiders will get their stops and Derek Carr and offense will find a way to win it.

Choose: Raiders 28, Broncos 21

Dallas Cowboys (-1) at Minnesota Vikings

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Latest Odds:

Minnesota Vikings +1.5

The Vikings are home after a wonderful win over the Bills last week as they recovered late from 17 down. The Cowboys are on the road for the second straight week after losing a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter by losing to the Packers. The Cowboys had major coverage issues last week that Justin Jefferson is set to take advantage of. Look for the Vikings to keep it going.

Choose: Vikings 30, cowboys 26

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Latest Odds:

Cincinnati Bengal -4

The Bengals earn a bye as the Steelers pull off an impressive win over the Saints. The Pittsburgh defense appeared to be back in the game, which is a good sign. But that’s a big challenge on the Bengals’ offense. Joe Burrow is hard to stop. You won’t stop him. Bengalis take it.

Choose: Bengal 31, Steelers 21

Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC, FuboTV)

Latest Odds:

Kansas City Chiefs -5

This essentially serves to decide the split for the Chiefs. Win it and it’s theirs. Lose and it’s a race. The Chiefs are riding high offensively right now and I think we’ll see. Patrick Mahomes will make the most of it against Justin Herbert.

Choose: Chiefs 35, Chargers 27

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN)

Latest Odds:

San Francisco 49ers -8

The 49ers claim a win over the Chargers while the Cardinals beat the Rams with Colt McCoy at quarterback. There’s a chance Kyler Murray will be back, but it doesn’t matter. The 49ers are poised to get back to health with many of their boys.

Choose: 49ers 30, Cardinals 23
