EXCLUSIVE: The award-winning production company and creative studio River entertainment appointed Cynthia Graner as production manager Brendon Nelson as Managing Director as part of its continued expansion into scripted, unscripted and commercial content.

In her new role, Graner will be responsible for managing and overseeing Riverside’s physical production across all divisions. As Managing Director, Nelson will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s business strategy, with a particular focus on customer retention, workforce retention and recruitment, supplier relationships and best practices across all business areas.

Riverside’s past and current projects include feature music documentaries throttle and Midland: The Sonic Ranch and football doc Down firstas well as series like those from Magnolia Network Make modern with Brooke and BriceABC on the plate and Disney+ Disney Insider. The studio recently announced its first feature manodromewith Jesse Eisenberg and Adrien Brody, which is scheduled for release in early 2023. His newest additions will both be based in Los Angeles and will report to managing partners Jeff Molyneaux, Brian Loschiavo and Pastor Alvarado III.

EXCLUSIVE: Beau Bridges (Dream wild), Eliza coupe (happy endings), Bridey Elliot (Silicon Valley), Lisa Gay Hamilton (winning time), Freddy Rodriguez (Six feet under) and Sam Trammel (True Blood) signed up to star alongside Marisa Coughlan (super troops) in the romantic dramedy Days when the rain camedirected by The Age of Adaline Writer J. Mills Goodloe.

The film, currently in production in Minnesota, tells the story of Jane (Coughlan), a married actress and mother of two on the wrong side of 40 who lives a life in LA that’s “dream neighbors.” When she returns to visit her charming but ailing father (Bridges) in her hometown in suburban Minnesota, Jane struggles to reconcile her imagined future with her present reality – and finds peace with the in-between. Coughlan wrote the picture, which is being produced by Conroy Kanter, Stephen Wallack, Bianca Goodloe and Louise Spinner.

EXCLUSIVE: Gravitas Ventures has acquired the worldwide rights to TJ Regan’s docudrama I’m DB Cooperalong with the North American rights to Scott Leberecht’s documentary, Jurassic punk. Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company will release the former film in select theaters and on VOD on December 9th, and the latter in select theaters and on VOD on December 16th.

I’m DB Cooper

in the I’m DB Cooper, which Regan directed from his screenplay, two bounty hunter brothers encounter an ailing old man named Rodney Bonnifield while coordinating his bail following a violent clash at a dairy farm involving a machete. Shortly before his sentencing, he reveals to the serfs that not only was he responsible for DB Cooper’s infamous plane hijacking, but the ransom is still buried and he needs their help to dig it up. With Rodney facing jail time, the group embarks on a modern treasure hunt to retrieve the money he buried in the Columbia River 50 years ago and uncover bizarre truths about Rodney Bonnifield and his connection to the only unsolved hijacking in the US. Jurassic punk

World premiere under the title spaz at SXSW 2022, Jurassic punk tells the story of Steve Williams, a little-known pioneer of computer animation, and events surrounding the historic moment when his digital dinosaurs hit the screen Jurassic Park. Steve and a chorus of experts tell a dramatic tale of rebellion and revolution at Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic in the early 1990s – a time when creating realistic creatures with a computer was considered impossible. Though Williams’ seminal work transformed Hollywood, his appetite for anarchy and reckless disregard for authority may have cost him the credit he deserved.

Jurassic punk last screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival last weekend. Bill Guentzler, Senior Director of Acquisitions at Gravitas Ventures, negotiated the deal I’m DB Cooper with UTA, negotiation of Jurassic punk negotiate on behalf of the filmmakers with Submarine Entertainment’s Joe Tufano.

EXCLUSIVE: Edward Furlong (American History X) and Dee Wallace (the howl) were won to star in the horror thriller The forest hillswritten and directed by Scott Goldberg.

The film, which went into production late last month, follows a deranged man wracked with nightmarish visions after suffering head trauma while camping in the Catskill Mountains. Furlong plays head trauma squad member Billy, who befriends Rico (Chiko Mendez), a man who is both mentally and emotionally disturbed. Wallace will play Angela, caught in the middle of the horror that is about to unfold.

EXCLUSIVE: Guillermo Ivan (The Unknown Hitman: The Story of El Cholo Adrian) was won for the lead role in Nicolás Di Blasi’s action film 6 hours awaywritten by Garry Charles (Welcome to Acapulco), With MichaelMadson (The Hateful Eight), Laura Wolf (quantico) and Roberto Sanchez (Mrs. American Pie) hired as a co-star.

The film, set between the US and Mexico, continues with ex-Marine Chris Montano (Iván) after his wife goes missing while on a business trip. The family man with a dangerous past then finds himself in a race against time to save her life. But when the truth comes out, Chris realizes there’s more at stake than just his wife’s life… Whoever kidnapped her also has their daughter. Madsen will portray the FBI’s ruthless agent Dules, with Wolf as Chris’ wife Sara.

Ruben Ozuna Gallardo will produce the image, which goes into production in October, under his ROGFILMS banner. Clean slate

EXCLUSIVE: Global digital release has acquired the worldwide rights to the documentary Clean slate by filmmaker Jared Callahan (Janey makes a game) and is planning a limited theatrical release in November. Pic will be released on digital platforms on December 2nd.

Clean slate follows two friends at a southern drug rehabilitation program as they struggle to cope with their addiction and mental illness by making a short film about the pain they have caused their families.

Callahan produced his latest alongside Jonathan Pickett, with Jennifer Pelling and Alex Lehmann (Get to know Sweet, paddleton) serve as executive producers.
