Six named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honorees

TUCSON – Six members of the Arizona soccer team have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Honorees, the organization announced Tuesday. Quincy Bonds, Gianna Christiansen, Nicole Dalin, Jordan Hall, Hope Hisey and Iliana Hoecking received the honor.

To be included on the all-district team, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater and have competed in at least 50% of their team’s competitions during the year. They must also have completed at least one full calendar year at their previous university.

Bonds has a 3.87 GPA in broadcast journalism. She played in 15 games that season. She finished the 2022 season with five shots. Bonds played in 17 of Arizona’s 18 games as a sophomore and participated in all 15 competitions as a freshman. She made nine starts in her freshman season.

Christiansen is in pre-business and currently has a grade point average of 3.57. The Laguna Hills, California native started 13 of the 15 games she appeared in and scored her first career goal against Utah. She also recorded an assist for the game-winning goal against then-No. 8 USC to bring her season total to three.

Dallin, a political science major, maintains a GPA of 3,606. She led the Wildcats roster in 2022 with five to 10 points in the season. Dallin scored a brace to lift the Wildcats past Oregon State and made 38 shots over the course of the season. In total, she scored three winning games in 2022.

Hall has a 3.67 GPA in psychology. The Dacula, Georgia native made 10 starts in 15 games and was second on the team in 2022 with four goals. She totaled 10 points that season with two assists against Oregon State. Twelve of their 22 shots in shots were on target.

Hisey, a 2022 third-team All-Pac-12 selection, maintains a 4.0 in Political Science. At 20, she ranks second in career shutouts in program history. Hisey was named Pac-12 Goaltender of the Week three times during the season and finished in the top five for the Pac-12 in saves and shutouts in 2022.

Hocking’s degree in Physiology and Medical Sciences gives her a GPA of 3.83. She ranks second in program history in career games played at 84 games. Hocking scored one of the Wildcats’ three goals against Oregon State. She is a three-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll winner.

Academic All-District Honorees advance to CCS Academic All-American voting. First, second and third team Academic All-America guests of honor will be announced in early December.
