Legal Maryland sports betting is just around the corner. According to our sports betting legalization tracker, the Old Line State will be the 21st state (including Washington, DC) to offer legal in-person and online sports betting.

Although a go-live date has not yet been officially announced, all expectations are that bettors in Maryland can start betting on sports as early as November 21st and no later than December 5th.

Most legal betting states offer these types of bets, with the usual difference being that they can place in-game bets on collegiate athletes.

Additionally, stock market betting is a relatively new type of bet, having hit the US market this year in New Jersey on August 29th. Prophet Exchange was the first legalized exchange sportsbook to launch in North America, followed by the September launch of Sporttrade. Expect betting exchange books like the Prophet Exchange and Sporttrade to enter the new and highly anticipated Maryland market in the near future.
