The Yankees’ elimination draws attention to Aaron Judge

NEW YORK — They’d been hailing him MVP all year, but when Aaron Judge rumbled on the plate in the early minutes of Monday morning, losing three games to none in the American League Championship Series, losing a run, leading up to their final, with the season and maybe his Yanks Career at stake, the remaining fans could hardly muster a cheer.

Judge took a big cut for strike one.

“You suck!” came a voice from the crowd that had started at 46,545 — no sell-out — and had dwindled along with the Yankees’ chances.
