UK Retail Technology Implementation of the Year shortlist announced — Retail Technology Innovation Hub

Pets at Home, Currys, Skinnydip London and Astrid & Miyu are among the nominees in the Technology Implementation of the Year (UK) category at the 2022 RTIH Innovation Awards.

This award recognizes the excellence of UK retail technology projects, both in terms of delivery and results.

Implementation should have been completed between November 2021 and November 2022.

The jurors pay attention to clear project goals, an effective and innovative implementation as well as tangible and verifiable results.

2022 shortlist as follows:

Astrid & Miyu/LoyaltyLion

Cooperation with LoyaltyLion Astrid & Miyu has achieved impressive results related to loyalty programs.

Buhhh/Akeneo

The boohoo group says they have improved operational efficiencies and time to market with a product information management solution from Akeneo.

Curries/Mobile Ink

In recent years, Currys has undergone a massive digital transformation, including an email initiative using Movable Ink.

Motor Fuel Group/TLM Technologies

Shortlisted to complete the rollout of TLM’s evoBackOffice solution to the MFG (Motor Fuel Group) with over 900 stores.

Pets at home/TPP retail

For many years, Pets at Home has invested in providing technology solutions to business associates to meet customers’ pet care needs. This resulted in store teams having to use multiple devices and many different technologies.

The goal of the shortlisted project was to rethink the experience of colleagues in the store and introduce a new solution based on the creation of a single device experience with a set of internally developed applications for customer-centric and operational needs.

The Pets at Home team, with the support of technology partner TPP Retail, developed and delivered a complete software product from scratch within 18 months. Use a single solution for all in-store applications, including apps to support purchasing a pet or joining a flea subscription program.

Skinnydip London/Prodigy

Skinnydip London has enhanced its direct-to-consumer (DTC) operations and increased exposure to new categories through its partnership with Wunderkind.

VST/dunnhumby

In March, VST and dunnhumby launched Planogram Publisher – software that makes Tesco’s planogram data accessible to CPG brands in the UK.

It is now up to our jury to select the winner who will be announced at an exclusive event in central London on Tuesday 6th December.
