Catawba Brewing Co., 212 S. Green St., will be hosting a Last-Chance Free-For-All Jam from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The brewery invites all musicians to a jam session. Sound and backline will be provided by Chris Singleton, but musicians are welcome to bring their own gear. Stop by and collaborate with other local musicians who have supported the brewery over the years.

The City of Morganton hosts its annual Winter Carnival from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the plaza of the historic courthouse. The event includes children’s activities, face painting, an ice sculpture demonstration and visits to Santa Claus. The memorial tree will be lit at 5:30 am and all of the downtown Christmas lights will be lit. A fire and ice sculpture will be performed at 6:00 p.m. by carver Aaron Costic.

The Olive of Morganton, 111 E. Union St., is hosting Tapas Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. with Executive Chef Laura from Queens Catering

The weekly Wine Down takes place from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at The Olive of Morganton, 111 E. Union St. The store is offering $1 off a glass of wine all day long.

The Levee Brewery & Pub, 118 Main St. W, is hosting a Friendsgiving Pot Luck Dinner at 6:00 p.m. Turkey is provided, but guests are invited to bring a side and enjoy a meal together.

The Burke County History Museum has reopened with several new exhibits. The opening times are Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Railroad Depot Museum is also open again on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free.
