PureWow pick for the ultimate #MCM: M’Baku

Eli Ade/Marvel Studios

Just two words: Winston Duke. The actor made his comeback as fan favorite M’Baku in the Black Panther Consequence, Wakanda foreverand he did Not disappoint, thanks in part to his charisma, humor and, yes, Herculean arms. The sequel features plenty of deep themes and great action sequences, but M’Baku steals virtually every scene he’s in, whether it’s cutting through the intense moments with comical one-liners or offering wise advice on how to protect his nation. — Nakeisha Campbell, Associate Editor of Entertainment & News at PureWow

From the “I don’t know her” gate to her infamous heeled workout, Mariah Carey knows how to make headlines. And this week’s best Mariah moment goes to a post she just shared on her IG page in response to the premiere of The crown season five. We let you watch the video (above) for yourself, where it’s hard to tell if Mariah added the tiara for the video or if it’s just regular daywear. Taylor Swift certainly never goes out of style, and while the “Anti-Hero” singer loves to surprise us, her eligibility for the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards really got our jaws working. Over the years, Swift has had many iconic fashion moments, from this floral Oscar de la Renta Grammys gown to her diamond-studded look at the VMAs in August. But this David Koma ensemble, which looked like a vintage ’50s swimsuit transformed with an emerald green chain link fence, was one of her boldest ensembles yet. We definitely need to calm down after seeing this showstopper. — Joel Calfee, Associate Editor of News & Entertainment

PureWow Pick for Best Book-to-Movie Adaptation: “Where the Crawdads Sing”

Fans of the book have been looking forward to this adaptation and it hasn’t disappointed. The film, which came out earlier this year but has only just hit Netflix, illustrates the story in a way the book can’t. Daisy Edgar-Jones steals the show as an adult Kya, while Jojo Regina plays the younger version of the character (and proves she has a long career ahead of her). Oh, and did we mention Reese Witherspoon served as executive producer? — Greta Heggeness, Senior Editor of News & Entertainment at PureWow

PureWow Pick for Best Confession: Millie Bobby Brown and the Evil Kisser

We don’t know what’s worse: Hearing Millie reveal her to Bobby Brown stranger things Co-star, Finn Wolfhard, is a bad kisser or she confirms he didn’t a little better. Either way, her latest confession on the vanity fair YouTube series have certainly surprised us. Now we just can’t stop worrying about Finn’s reaction as soon as he sees the video. Now it’s time to prepare that explanatory text, Millie. — Karelle McKay, Associate Editor of News & Entertainment
