Warnock’s church could face a subpoena after failing to respond to Georgia’s foreign secretary

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger must decide whether to subpoena Senator candidate Raphael Warnock’s church after it failed to respond in writing to a legal inquiry into its status as a charity.

The Secretary of State’s Department for Securities and Charities has required the Ebenezer Building Foundation – a foundation run by the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Warnock – to declare its charitable status within the state.
