The result is the launch of the company’s Hi-MO 6, its first module designed exclusively for the global consumer market and utilizing its unique HPBC technology. The Hi-MO 6 maintains the standard M10 (182mm) size, with module efficiency reaching 22.8% in mass production.

HPBC (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) is a new generation, highly efficient solar cell technology, unique in its front-mounted, busbar-free design. LONGi’s R&D team has developed completely different cell structures and technological approaches for HPBC cells, including back contact, contact passivation and anti-reflection technology. The mass production efficiency of the standard HPBC cell is over 25%, while that of the PRO version improved with hydrogen passivation technology exceeds 25.3%.

Technological innovation brings module efficiency and installation capacity to a new level, Hi-MO 6 improves power generation performance in all aspects of efficiency, light absorption, high temperature performance, response in low irradiance conditions and power decay. Data from simulated power generation in typical regions on six continents (excluding Antarctica) shows that Hi-MO 6 has an average gain of up to 10% compared to PERC-based products.

Compared to the PERC and TOPCon technologies, Hi-MO 6 can significantly increase the installed capacity due to the higher module efficiency on a limited roof area, while the lack of a ribbon increases the light absorption by up to 2.27% when light from multiple angles occurs to . The power temperature coefficient can be as high as -0.29%/℃, which improves the power generation performance in high temperature environments, while achieving excellent performance even in low insolation conditions. In low light conditions, the product’s high open circuit voltage allows the inverter to reach its working voltage faster, while lower linear degradation ensures highly efficient power generation throughout its life cycle.

In terms of reliability, the Hi-MO 6 adopts back contact welding technology, which uses a single-row structure, unlike the traditional Z-shaped structure, to reduce cell edge stress and improve the module’s resistance to cracking. In a series of third-party thresher tests, the Hi-MO 6 also demonstrated superior performance in maintaining a stable and continuous power output under variable conditions.
