LAS VEGAS, Nov. 02, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AAPEX – Yoshino Technology today announced the launch of the first Solid State Technology (SST) battery in 330, 660, 2000 and 4000 watt power plants, offering more power in a smaller, safer power plant for outdoor family applications and Outdoor adventures to home backup and industrial environments.
These portable power stations are based on a state-of-the-art solid electrolyte instead of the bulky and flammable liquid electrolyte found in traditional lithium batteries, improving performance and representing a major leap forward in battery technology. Higher energy density means the same power fits into a smaller, lighter package than traditional lithium batteries. While liquid electrolytes are flammable and can catch fire if a battery is damaged or overheated, SST batteries have a greatly reduced risk because they use a solid electrolyte.
SST batteries also enable faster recharging – up to 80% capacity in less than an hour – providing users with reliable, portable power that is always ready to go. SST batteries offer up to twice the power per pound of traditional lithium batteries, meaning users can take more power with them to tackle bigger tasks.
“We are excited to be the first to bring an SST battery to market in a portable power station,” said Vince Caito, vice president, marketing & product development, Yoshino Technology. “Our portable power stations will enhance a wide range of lifestyles – from van living and outdoor adventures to powering your outdoor business and providing backup power at home during power outages – with a smaller, lighter and safer option at the forefront of the Solid State Technology. Whether you are in a tent, car, home, RV or on the job site, we have the right gym for your needs.”
Yoshino portable power stations can be charged via both AC and DC inputs, portable solar panels and even USB-C on supported models. With virtually silent operation and no exhaust fumes, Yoshino power plants are safe to operate indoors or outdoors and at times when the loud noise of a gasoline-powered generator would be inappropriate.
Yoshino portable power plants are available to retail at www.yoshinopower.com with prices starting at $349.00. Product availability will begin in January 2023.
According to Allied Market Research®, the global portable battery market is expected to reach US$27.5 billion by 2030 and grow at a CAGR of 10.4 percent (2021-2030).
